Does every first post have to be titled "first post?"
Yo
Being at a Dick's Sporting Goods at 9am feels like being in a simulation (probably)
More importantly though, happy 7th(?) birthday to my favorite lil dude.
Happy to have had Hummus in my life for four years now. I can always count on him to come chill in the studio or watch TV wherever I'm at.
The only full grown dog that will forever look like a puppy his entire life.
What's this for?
I've said this in quite a few different places, but I'm over social media and calling things "content," algorithmic promotion/suppression, and feeling like there's no true ownership of the things I create.
The latter point is especilly weird because the original copies still exist on my computers/phone/other machines. It's like Meta developed a way to remove digital object permanence. One of the worst things to happen to society as a whole is the implementation of infinite scrolling, but I think I might be rambling here.
Anywhom, this is intended to be a place to showcase music and other projects (art and programming if I'm in the mood for them) whether they're fully-polished or works in progress. I was inspired by J. Cole showcasing cLOUDs on his blog and figured I'd start my own. Big up Herman, the creator of Bear Blog. This is exactly what I needed, and exactly the kind of project I'd want to support.
I'd been feeling this strong sense of nostalgia for the pre-2012 version of the internet. Everything was chronological if it was on social media, people still bothered to create and use blogs, it was even the blog era
for music which might've been my favorite when it comes to rap and hip-hop.
Music feels a little to homogeneous these days for me, where a massive portion of what's released today is people following a formula in the hopes of getting rich. People are allowed to make what they want, but this detracts from the art and instead just serves as a business.
Anyway, I bought a soda as big as my head:
More to come.
